Burns Night Cocktail: The Perfect Marmalade Martini
Burns Night is the perfect excuse to slow down, get cosy and enjoy a proper celebratory drink. While a dram of whisky is traditional, we thought we’d offer something a little different (and very delicious).
Enter: our Marmalade Martini.
Bright, citrusy and topped with a little fizz. It’s the ideal cocktail to sip while the haggis is cooking and the fire is crackling.
Whether you’re hosting a full Burns supper or just fancy marking the occasion in a small way, this is an easy, crowd-pleasing serve that feels special without any fuss.
Ingredients (Serves Two)
2 teaspoons marmalade
A generous squeeze from half an orange
Prosecco or Champagne, to top
Method
Add the marmalade, fresh orange juice and Penrhos London Dry Gin to a shaker.
Shake well until the marmalade is fully mixed and the drink is nicely chilled.
Strain into two chilled glasses.
Top up with your chosen fizz and give a gentle stir if needed.
How to Serve
Best enjoyed in front of the fire, with haggis on the table and good company around you.
It’s light, celebratory and just the right balance of sharp citrus with a gentle sweetness. Perfect for toasting to Burns Night and to a cosy winter’s night in.
