How To Make Sugar Syrup

Make our simple sugar syrup at home

Making cocktails at home can be so much fun. It allows you to experiment with different flavours, textures and glasses to help you find which ones are you favourite. Being able to make simple syrup at home will be your secret weapon and help to elevate your delicious cocktails.

Sugar syrup is a versatile sweetener that’s easy to incorporate into various cocktail recipes.

In cocktails, it provides a balanced sweetness without the grittiness of undissolved sugar and works so well with citrus flavours.

  • Sugar or Honey
  • Hot Water

To make with a kettle, follow these simple steps:

1. Use equal parts water and granulated sugar. For example, 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar.

2. Combine your sugar and warm water.
Stir continuously until the sugar completely dissolves. This usually takes a few minutes.

3. Allow the sugar syrup to cool to room temperature.

Now you have homemade sugar syrup ready for use in cocktail recipes. Remember to let it cool before using.
